"The Christian just-war tradition has been in the news lately after Pope Leo's comments over the past few weeks criticizing the war in Iran and US Vice President JD Vance's recent response to the pope referencing the just-war tradition. I sat down with Alessandro Rovati to discuss the Christian just-war tradition for the Conversations in Moral Theology podcast. We didn't focus on the particulars of the war in Iran but rather looked at some of the larger questions raised by the current situation and then put those questions in historical context.
